Spectrum of Feelings (2017)
If I were to describe his work, I would say that he creates more or less the same antropomorph figures with different emotional facial expressions.
His work can be seen as raw, but at the same time it titillates our senses. Great thought went into simplifying them. They’re sculptures who make an impression and who are vulnerable, rough. Sometimes they portrait emotional scarred people. There aren’t many attributes to distract you, there is no storyline.
The viewer is confronted with the figures, who are mostly displayed in frontal view, with almost closed eyelids. They seem stoics and frozen, captured in a moment that will never release them. You’re compelled by their silence.
